GCISD cannot be an exceptional district without exceptional school librarians and a community that puts the needs of students above politics.
I was pleased to see several other School Board candidates supporting reading and literacy at the Grapevine Public Library’s 100th Birthday on Saturday.
During the celebration, I reflected on my wonderful memories of enjoying the summer reading program in my little town’s library. The Grapevine Library does remind me so much of that experience. My library card is my passport to knowledge, adventure, history, science, drama, fun reads, and classics.
On Saturday, it was awesome to hear the Mayor’s stories, and I can’t wait to get a copy of his book “My Barefoot Days” when it is released. Congratulations to the Grapevine Library for 100 years serving the citizens of Grapevine.
